Looking for Counselling?

There are many reasons people decide to invest in counselling therapy.

Those reasons can be based on issues of the past, present, future, or a combination of all of those. There is nothing too big, nor too small, to bring to counselling.

It may be that a client does not experience a particular 'problem' as such, but has a feeling of 'stuckness', for example - and would like to work on breaking free of old patterns. Or it could be that there are specific and deeply personal things that a client wishes to air and contemplate in a safe space and a confidential setting.

Counselling can be helpful and therapeutic in a number of ways, and this is unique to the individual and their circumstances.

Some of the common things people bring to counselling I have listed below, as an example. However, each and every counselling session brings any possibility of elements that the client chooses to explore...

  • Stress - home/work/school/life
  • Anxiety
  • Relationship or family problems
  • Life changes
  • Loss
  • Bereavement - significant others (including pets)
  • Confidence/self esteem issues
  • Trauma
  • Illness or health concerns (including mental and physical)
  • Resentment
  • Bullying - work/school/home (including domestic violence)
  • Fertility or family planning concerns
  • Guilt
  • Anger
  • LGBT issues
  • Depression
  • Coping with separation (long term or sporadic e.g. military families)
  • Performance desires
  • Boredom
  • Abuse (including emotional, physical and sexual - past and present)
  • Drugs and alcohol issues
  • Parenting challenges and living with parenting challenges
  • Inclusion friendly: specialising in Neurodivergence and Gender, Sexual & Relationship Diversity

I offer a safe space to explore issues such as these (and many more). I work with a person centred approach...so to allow the client to find a way that feels right for them.
